Review:

Having read “The Troop” this year by Nick Cutter, I was really expecting another creepy and straight disturbing tale in “The Deep”. It was definitely creepy, and there were some disturbing parts. But I had a hell of a time getting into this novel. I was really disturbed by the scenes with Little Bee and Little Fly. I wasn’t satisfied with the weird ass ending. I didn’t like the explanation the baddies gave about stealing Zach - if they could get Zach then why did they need Luke? Or was that a lie? I couldn’t tell. And poor Al - I don’t get the point of her demise either. Clayton… I couldn’t stand him at all.

I guess I can say that I just don’t understand a lot of the point of the book and the story.

However…

The book was well written and overall I liked the idea of the story.
